For far too long, the Swedish comics culture has been a very Swedish concern. The comics being published in Sweden have, with few exceptions, been created by people with their roots within Sweden. Tusen Serier (A Thousand Comics) is here to change that because we think it is boring and leads to a lack of diversity in perspectives. So far, we’ve published 15 books and more will come. We work through publishing, workshops and exhibitions to show that there are a thousand ways to tell a story, a thousand places to come from.
From 2016, we share Hybriden, a new exhibition/workshop/bookstore/mini library/studio space, with CBK at Mitt Möllan, Malmö.
Also running Fanzineverkstaden (the Zine workshop) in Malmö.
