Amalia Alvarez is an autodidact artist who has drawn for Arbetaren, Liberación, Mana and Clandestin@, a magazine for undocumented workers.
She made two books published by Tusen Serier, The stories of five undocumented women and Five stories about prostituters and is now working on the third one.
